Maskati speaker at Real Estate Investment forum
Top company officials and highly influential decision makers
gathered in the Lebanese capital, Beirut to attend the "Real Estate
Investments in the Middle East Forum". Such an event was organized
by Fleming Gulf Conferences as an answer to the rapid growth and
maturity of the real estate market in the region.
Speaking at the forum was Mr. Qais Al-Maskati, Vice President for
Investments at RealCAPITA, the alternatively new real estate
development company based in Bahrain. Mr. Maskati discussed the
topic of "Alternative Real Estate Investments" with the effect of
the over supply of real estate stock in the Middle East Real Estate
Market in forcing a change in the behavior of the industry. He
discussed how the real estate market faces a massive flow of
financing which lead to the noticeable market boom although the real
estate market is more complicated than it used to be a few years
back, and that resulted from the promotion of opportunity funds and
investments that utilize typical private assets. All that leads to a
call for creative measures to maintain competitiveness in the market
place.
He also quoted that "Value enhancements are a new domain that real
estate investors need to be experienced in in-order to improve real
estate yields."
