Amwaj Gateway signed hotel management contract with Royal Tulip Hospitality Group



Amwaj Gateway Development Company (AGDC), a subsidiary of RealCAPITA, has signed a hotel management and operation contract with the Royal Tulip - the global chain of hotels - for the Royal Tulip hotel which will be located in the central tower of the Amwaj Gateway project, consisting of twenty floors in addition to the adjacent townhouses.
In addition to the hotel management, the Royal Tulip Hotel will also participate in the interior design of its premises in accordance to the exacting standards, criteria and identity of the Royal Tulip Group.

On the occasion Mr. Mohammed Al Tawash, Board Chairman of AGDC announced “We are very pleased to see have achieved this great development for the Amwaj Gateway project. We continue to witness ongoing progress on all stages of the project in accordance with our objectives and part of our strategic plans.”
“The hotel will be managed under the Royal Tulip, which is the premiere brand of the Golden Tulip group’s global chain of hotels, specialized in hotel management; the hotel will provide a wide range of facilities and services to guests of the main tower and the townhouses. Guests will have the option to choose between views overlooking the sea from the hotel or enjoy direct access to the sea from the townhouses. The hotel brings added value to the project, by combining facilities for both residents of Amwaj Gateway and guests of the Royal Tulip, services such as laundry, room service and housekeeping amongst others will be available to both” added Mr. Al Tawash.

“With the array of services and facilities provided by the project as a whole and with the hotel in specific, makes it the ideal environment for those who are looking for outstanding facilities in an exclusive community. The selection of the Royal Tulip Hotel came after a study of hotel services and features provided by the hotel. The Royal Tulip Hotel group has extensive experience in hospitality, whether in the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Middle East or across the globe, it is one of the first hotels that established the concept of hotel hospitality. Our cooperation with Royal Tulip is the beginning of strategic relationship between the two companies, which may include another projects and sites in the future” stated Managing Director of AGDC Mr. Qais Al Maskati.  

“RealCAPITA is currently considering the establishment of a private company to manage the hotel as its first project, with the expectation to mange other hotels on other projects in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The long-term plan is to place the project on the Bahrain Stock Exchange Market in the future as we are approaching the end of the feasibility studies for the project” he further added.

Amwaj Gateway is being developed by RealCAPITA, to provide a variety of townhouses and apartments housed in three 20-storey towers. The project accommodates a total of 550 different residential units. The development will house the necessary facilities and infrastructure that comes at the forefront of luxurious living such as serviced apartments, restaurants, commercial outlets, swimming pools, a gymnasium and a private beach all within a gated community embodying the true “access to luxury”. The location of the development is unique in terms of its zoning. It is the only plot on Amwaj Islands to contain such an integrated mix of facilities with unrestricted sea views and its own private beach. The development (estimated to cost US$ 200 million) is located by the entrance of Amwaj Islands covering a land area of approximately 360,000 square feet.
